Mid-Atlantic Group Psychotherapy Society
The Mid-Atlantic Group Psychotherapy Society (MAGPS) is a regional affiliate of the American Group Psychotherapy Association that serves group therapists in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
MAGPS sponsors a Cinema Series to promote connection for MAGPS members between conferences, get the word out about our conferences, provide stimulating learning experiences on issues including, but not limited to, group, diversity, and ethics.
The Cinema Series is excited to continue with virtual meetings over the next year. We find that it works best if individuals watch the movie on their own and then come together via Zoom to discuss the movie with a moderator.
When it is safe to resume in person events, we will do so. In-person events include a light dinner, a movie screening, and a lively discussion with a moderator.
Cinema Series events are open to clinicians, spouses, and anyone interested in the application of psychological principles to our lives.
