(Online) Racial Affinity Groups
Sunday, October 10, 2021
3-5 PM

We are pleased to offer the next Racial Affinity Group on October 10th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. We will again be holding two simultaneous affinity groups - one for White participants, and one for Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) participants - through the Zoom platform (you will receive a link when you register). All participants will begin together in a large group and then break out into smaller groups. We will be discussing how to address race in group.

The White Anti-Racism Affinity Group will be lead by Alison McGrath Howard and Liz Marsh, and the BIPOC Anti-Racism Affinity Group will be lead by Shemika Brooks and Christopher Ray. Although these groups are not traditional interpersonal process groups, we do expect to be attuned to what comes up in the here and now. The purpose is not to enhance clinical group skills but to use process to deepen our awareness of how we can become anti-racists in an anti-racist organization.

All registrants will get the Zoom Meeting Link emailed to them.

Affinity group events are free for MAGPS Members.
