MAGPS Invites you to a Roundtable Discussion on October 1, 2023

3:00-5:00 p.m.

"Anti-Semitism and Anti-Black Racism: Moving Towards Solidarity”

What does it mean when we say Anti-Semitism?

How do Jews (and other marginalized communities) move from Alliship with the Movement for Black Lives towards Solidarity?

How do we move away from a monolithic frame for Jewish identity?

What happens in our bodies when our trauma is triggered in response to the equity movement?

Join the conversation to explore these questions and more at the upcoming MAGPS Anti-Racism Committee Roundtable with Graie Hagans on Sunday 10/1 from 3-5pm

Graie Hagans [he|they] is a nationally-recognized trainer and leader in organizing the Jewish community to divest from white supremacy and work for our collective safety. In his role as Senior Advisor at Bend the Arc: Jewish Action he designs political education curriculum for thousands of activists, organizational leaders, and members of Congress and develops and leads trainings on antisemitism and anti-Black racism, the history of racial inequality in the US, and understanding how antisemitism animates white nationalist movements. Graie enjoys building community with the Black Jewish Liberation Collective and Jews in All Hues, spending time with their pitbull Elinor Rigbie and being an uncle! Graie holds an MPP from Rutgers University and is currently running a city council campaign in Philadelphia, PA.
